/
START DATE AND DURATION: October 2022
Summary

Reports that the greatest increase in mental health problems has been among young people, and Chinese-speaking international students are a high risk group for developing psychological distress. I would like to develop the peer support for Chinese students at UCL to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The aim of this study is to assess and understand the level of loneliness, emotional regulation, self-stigma, and psychological well-being of Chinese international students, and to develop an intervention to reduce the level of loneliness, stigma and improve the level of emotional regulation of Chinese international students. The study will also examine the level of psychological well-being of Chinese international students in the UK.
