Providers and commissioners

For an in-depth understanding of local and regional priorities, we work closely with the partner organisations (universities, the NHS, CCGs and local authorities) in our region in a variety of ways.

You can access our work by:

Using our Evidence in Practice

Browse our Evidence in Practice to find interventions, tools and resources that have been implemented and are ready for use in your service or region.

Asking a researchable question

We want to know about key issues facing your organisation or region that could be addressed through applied health research.
Find out more about our Research Partnership Team, share your ideas and work with us to explore opportunities for new research.

Becoming a research site

View our upcoming and ongoing research studies, which are frequently looking to open at new sites. Whether you are a highly research-active organisation or looking to become more research-active, we are interested in hearing from you.

Join our Local Authority Public Health Research Network (London and North Thames)

The network was established in 2021. Partners include colleagues from NIHR ARC North Thames (providing secretariat), ARCS across London, Regional UK Health Security Agency and Office for Health improvement and Disparities, local authorities, Association of Directors of Public Health London, NHS and academics across London and North Thames, Public health registrars.

It seeks to identify, share, support and progress opportunities for generating robust academic research in LA settings across the region and nationally.

The network is open to anybody with an interest in this area. It might be particularly useful for local authority staff with an interest in public health research, academics with local government service role/interest, public health registrars in a local government role and/or interested to conduct local government research and regional colleagues supporting academia within the local authority.

Meetings are held online quarterly on Zoom. Contact k.airey@ucl.ac.uk if you would like to attend or for more information.
