Welcome to the Local Authority Public Health Research Network (London & North Thames)!
This network - founded in 2021, hosted and administered by NIHR ARC North Thames - aims to identify, share, support and progress opportunities for generating robust academic research in local authority settings.
Partners include colleagues and academics from:
- NIHR ARC North Thames (providing secretariat)
- ARCs across London
- Regional UK Health Security Agency
- Office for Health improvement and Disparities
- Local Authorities
- Association of Directors of Public Health London
- Public health registrars.
Together, the Network partners seek to identify, share, support and progress opportunities for generating robust academic research in LA settings across the region and nationally.
The network is open to anybody with an interest in this area. It might be particularly useful for local authority staff with an interest in public health research, academics with local government service role/interest, public health registrars in a local government role and/or interested to conduct local government research and regional colleagues supporting academia within the local authority.
Meetings are held online quarterly on Zoom. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend or for more information.
