Multimorbidity clusters, trajectories and genetic risk in British south Asians

PROJECT STATUS: Ongoing
/
START DATE AND DURATION: October 2019
Summary

Using the health records of several million people, we will explore unanswered questions relating to multimorbidity. Our research will focus on using novel statistical and computer science techniques to look for clusters and patterns in this health record data. We will examine these clusters and patterns of multimorbidity to better understand how they affect particular populations (e.g. people from different ethnic groups) and patterns of multimorbidity in individuals with early onset.

Our approach will also allow us to uncover how and why multimorbidity develops over time, and if it is associated with early death.
