Co-morbidity in people living with and beyond cancer

PROJECT STATUS: Ongoing
/
START DATE AND DURATION: September 2020
Summary

This research is exploring the interrelationship between patients living with and beyond cancer (sometimes referred to as cancer survivors) and multimorbidity (meaning to live with multiple long-term conditions).

The PhD project is analysing existing data, such as linked primary and secondary cancer care data to evaluate the impact of multimorbidity on cancer survivors using data driven clustering, regression modelling and descriptive statistics. It is also looking at the effect of social deprivation on multimorbidity and patterns of healthcare use in this patient group, particularly focusing on the population in East London.
