Social care faces many challenges.
Yet there is a wealth of experience and expertise across adult social care in London that could help shape improvements.
Our Social Care Learning Network enables social care practitioners and researchers to learn from one another.
The goal is to allow for more sharing between evidence and practice to improve social care.
How does it work?
Set up like an exchange, we offer part-time paid 6-month opportunities for social care practitioners to gain experience in academia, and for researchers to gain experience in social care settings.
We currently have roles for individuals available, and are also seeking to hear from organisations who would like to host such an exchange:
Opportunities for individuals
- Social care staff and practitioners looking to gain experience in academia (Research Intern)
- Researchers in academia looking to gain experience in social care settings (Career Development Fellow)
Opportunities for organisations
- Research settings ie, universities looking to host a social care practitioner (Intern Host)
- Social care settings ie, councils, services, charities looking to host a researcher (Fellow Host)
After application, hosts and individuals will be matched together.
