EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

Kate is a medical statistician specialising in methodological development and health services research using big data. Since 2011, she has worked within the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU), a collaboration between the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng).

Kate is currently the Senior Statistician for the National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NATCAN) within the CEU, established in October 2022 to deliver 10 national cancer audits. She also serves as the Lead Methodologist for both the National Bowel Cancer Audit and the National Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Audit within NATCAN.

Her joint role between RCSEng and LSHTM offers a unique environment for methodological research, bringing together statistical expertise, national clinical data, and collaboration with clinical and patient partners. Kate also leads the International Collaboration of Colorectal Cancer Outcomes Registries (ICORC).
