EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

Elizabeth is passionate about researching body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), particularly in young people, with the hope of improving detection, early intervention, and treatment of the condition. She is currently undertaking a PhD, supervised by Dr Georgina Krebs and Professor Argyris Stringaris, with a focus on the detection and diagnosis of BDD, treatment approaches, and the underlying mechanisms that maintain symptoms. She is based in the Anxiety, Self-Image, and Mood (AIM) Lab at University College London (UCL).

Alongside her research, Elizabeth is an Honorary Clinical Psychologist and she provides assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing BDD and related anxiety and mood difficulties at the AIM Clinic, a specialist NHS mental health service within the UCL University Clinic and part of North London NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a member of the UCL Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course team.
