Charles supports the management of the Academy’s face-to-face and online events and administration of the Academy’s PhD and research fellowship programmes. His responsibilities toward internal and external stakeholder communications include advertising events, drafting newsletters, posters and flyers, as well as updating the Academy webpages and Twitter feed.

 

Originally joining UCL as part of the Access and Widening Participation team, Charles managed the delivery of the Transition undergraduate mentoring programme and the Discover Summer School for D/deaf and hard of hearing students. The latter was nominated for a UCL Professional Services Award in 2017. During a two year secondment, Charles worked in a project support role for the Academic Model Project, which was also subsequently nominated for a UCL Professional Services award in 2019.
